rad fan working?

    How can i tell if my radiator fan is working, i have never noticed it spinning even after a long haul drive?

    will spin for a little bit after a long journey yeh cus your cars hot, aslong as it dont stay on for like an hour your fine

    Awryt cheers any ideas how ma temp light is comming on then? lol only comes on when iv been driving a while and im stopping and starting in town, it goes off when on the motorway, have tried a radiator flush a few times.

    your fan not kicking in at 3/4?
    should keep it from going above and stop the light from coming on

    Check thermo is working or just re bleed the whole system by draining it and refilling and bleed but if you just want to check fan is working get a bit of wire and cross the connections where the fan motor is and this will start the fan with out getting your car up to temp , it's what they do in track cars to stop them getting really hot

    its a 1.1 av not got the temp gauge haha just the light

    this easy to find? any chance it might be the thermostat an temp sensor mate?

    if your sure your fan isnt kicking in then its most likely your thermostat that needs replacing.

    3 bolts about 20 pounds max

    If you want to check the fan itself. Do what is said above. Bridge the connections. There should be a bright blue plug that your can take off of the top right of the radiator. Then bridge the terminal on the left and the terminal on the right
