Ignition

    Right, the 1.6 16v runs coil pack ignition. Is it possible to fit the coil pack system from that egnine onto one of the other TU engines?

    Or failing that is there any way to up the power being discharged through the ignition circuit(ie changing the coil?)

    on the turbo cars we generally fit a ford coilpack found on early zetec mondeos.

    "clip on lead" type. most performance cars will use this set up. you can also trim the ends off of the lead set and they fit the 106 plugs quite nicely.

    you will require the ford plug, but they are simple to wire up. centre pin is the live in, the other 2 are signal to each coil.
