taking my gearbox out of my vtr tonight is there anything i need watch out for. does the subframe need to be dropped?? any advice would be muchly appreciated

Hi,
Just remove the black upper gearbox mount bracket (under battery tray) that'll give you a few inches to move the gearbox away from the engine.
When putting it back it is really easy for the release bearing to pop off the clutch release lever forks as the power steering pump pipes get in the way. Try undoing the power steering pump to move the pipes out of the way.
