Seat belt Locking

    Right i removed everything from my car for bucket a while back however going back to standard when putting the seat belts in they lock and dont come past a certain stage why is this. do i need new seat belts??

    No, iirc, i think they lock for a reason.

    There is a thread about it somewhere, maybe worth a search, i think theres a little latch somewhere.

    could be just worth while playing about for a few minutes.

    You have to take one side of the black box where it winds in off.

    Be gentle and peak inside it, one side has a coil which will fly everywhere and youll have a nightmear for abit. The other side has a white cog in.

    Take the side off that has the white cog inside irc the black bit has some writing on it?

    Then take the ball bearing out, unravel the belt then put the ball bacl in, or jus leave the ball out and re assemble.

    The ball is there to lock the belts if the car rolls. You aint got no hope if the car rolls anyway so i left mine out on the old car.

    tried a fair bit of playing around they just dont budge at all.... new seatblet wont be cheap either!!! fail

    I think if you let them reel all the way in they can be a complete bitch to wind out again, as above there is a thread on how to do it.
