   Is the centre pipe for 106 GTI's and VTS's the same? I have a 98 plate 106 GTI and someone has offered to sell me a centre pipe for a mk2 VTS and wanted to see if it would fit ok.

   You'll need to make sure that the VTS is a single plug.
   
   3 plug cars have a longer CAT (to make space for the second lambda to be fitted), so they made the centre pipe shorter. Single plugs have a shorter CAT and longer centre pipe.
