noisy tappets

   hi is there any thicker oil for a mk2 vtr as the stuff it says to use in car manual is making my tappets noisy once the car is warmed up and is fine when cold so it can not be that the tappets need tighting... or does it?any info a great help cheers

   check the tappet clearances
   
   what oil you got in there at the moment ? When it last have an oil and filter change ?

   about 3-4 months ago and its got 10w40 total quartz 7000 that any good?

   ye got them will check on a weekend some time need to find a slimmer jack now

   Why do you need a jack mate?okay I know the Haynes book says you need to turn the crankshaft pulley with a spanner but surely you`ll have room(doing same job at weekend)
