Hi there. I noticed my car was reli loud the other day, so i checked the exhaust etc noticed the sensor which goes into the cat had came out but all the metal around it had went aswell. so can any1 tell me if i would be better getting a manifold and a decat? would this fit onto my standard center pipe? but i have a jap backbox on it just now.or would my best bet be just to get the standard cat? any help is appreciated cheers

#2well depending,on your budget, you have one of two choices,
buy a new performance decat manifold,or buy a used or new standard cat, just be aware that youll need to either have a cat in the manifold for the MOT or get a cat in the center section off a 1.1 or vts i think
but if its just the lambda sensor i dont see why you couldnt get it welded back on?,the nut i mean, which the sensor goes through -
#3well its down to you isn't it you either buy a standard cat to keep it legal or buy a 4-2-1 manifold which would be my choice, and ye it'll fit on to your standard pipe, and racleand one is the for about £70 you can get a supersprint center section, id get that as well, also get rid of the jap box lol

#4Hmm I suppose I could see about getin it welded back on, I just automatically thought I would need a new cat coz of the size of the hole. Can u send me a link to that 70 quid mani mate? The jap box looks mint on the car tho that's why I'm wanting to keep the standard exhaust coz I think the box was welded to the standard exhaust before I got the car.

#5just buy a new one

#6You can weld them back in place, I get loads of them in work. just take the sensor out off the threaded before its welded

#7the center pipe is £70 the manifold will be just less than £170 iirc

#8Cheers lads. Jeff, see that manifold, it says that It may need some other alterations to get it to fit? So it won't fit directly then?

#9they just say that to cover their backs, i dont think you need to do anything
