each of the led rings will have a pos n neg wire from them i assume. if they do wire am to a battery an c if anythin happens. dont stick it on a huge battery tho or they mite go bang as led's r only low voltage. if they r gone however i think its a cheap fix. led's r only about 50p

I tried that mate just the same thing just two halos light up

i think the leds will need replacing but for the life of me dont no what leds they are lol

led's tend to b very similar. if you can get one out take it to maplin or equivilant and they should b able to sort you out... only ever seen 1 type of led tho. wethere its in dash, lights or a computer they all seem the same.. only diff as far as i know is colours and poss voltage. probs rong tho.. have you read the guide on here btw? looks very helpful

also could you guide me on how to change the LEDs themself if it aint to much trouble, the last thing i wanna do is brake my lights
  15. #15
well the link was to halfords as i couldnt find them on maplins website which is where i bought them from they was £5.99 think and you get 4 and the wires on them and there was more than enough with them
and send us a pic of your lights well where they go on in as might be bit different from mine
  16. #16
ok i will take a few pics in the morning to show you upload them and you can tell me then once you have told me i will go maplins and get some LEDs

thanks mate appreciate the help your giving
  17. #17
yeah yeah cool mine were pritty tight with them L.E.D's so you might not be able to fit that type in if it is any smaller than mine was pritty hard making them to the right shape and trying to keep them in the hole lol

theres a pic of the back of my light/s,

It aint that good because i dont have the time to take it out but the LED's are underneath like yours so i assume there the same,
and yeah probly not french lol
  21. #21
they do look the same from looking at that picture could really do with a picture of the acuall unit its self as might be a bigger hole mine was just pushed in and was held in place with a bung so yours might be the same
  22. #22
Looking at when you took apart yours to spray em i can say there the same as yours mate,

I have bought some of them leds how did you put them in?

    thanks
  23. #23
oh are they you know the rubber bung thats around the unit like that holds the led in the holder well what i did is take that off so was left with that then i fed the wires through that i had to cut abit off the bottem so would sit right down in it and then i got the led's and like bent them so they were like on a right angle to the wire did it to both of them, then i just pushed them in the hole and made sure they was facing outwards and just slided the rubber bung back up and locked them back in place job done if that makes sense is kinda hard to explain lol

Im unsure but they should just pull out, depends on make fo headlight tbf.
gazer brought some LED's from maplins and they was a straight forward fit i belive. May need abit of glue or something. If you check his progress thread i think there may be a picture...
He will come online later and answer u i dare say

do the wires go into the bung....
as if they do the unit is usually all one piece the unit is acually inside the bung with the LED's pointing out the top pics would be helpful

the wires go through the bung and out the other side into the lights, i cant see where they go after that..

    here's a pic:

mine are abit different to that, there no way of taking them apart....
  32. #32
Mine were the same as that mate. What i had to do was drill around the wee hole because its too small to get the wee LED out and also back in. If your doing both the rings its a real shit job too do lol. so good luck...i bought replacement bulbs on ebay..T-shaped Led's they were under.

i dont like the sound of drilling a hole in my lights.. how do you stop water getting in them now that they have holes in them?
  34. #34
Just buy rubber bungs for it mate. Basically anything to plug the holes but when i was doing it that was the only way i could see of taking the lights out and getting a new set back in. Real fiddly annoying job. Almost wasnt worth fixing them.
  35. #35
well i decided to take the front lens off using a hair dryer and heating them, it come off quite easy and i can get straight to the leds from there, ill post pics up when im finished, i ordered some super bright leds for them, should look good!
