#2Take wheel off and look at the gold coloured driveshaft nut and thread sticking out of the hub. If this thread sticks out quite a bit from the hub and the hub nut is approx 3 cm in depth then your car wil have the tapered or bevelled type. If the thread is quite short and the nut is only about 1.5 cm depth then you will have flat faced shafts. The only way to be 100% sure tho is to compare any new shaft very carefully against the old one, i've just had all this trouble myself and it is costly if you mix them up. Don't believe the parts guy as saxos changed shafts june 1999 and everyones systems say different for this age of car. Buy both and return the one you don't need

#3my vtr is on a Treg 99 and its fitted with the later type shafts and hubs and peugeot struts, right on the cross over you may find you have a mish mash of citroen/peugeot parts!
if its got a deep d/s nut then it 'should' be tapered, however this isnt totally accurate as some of them have shallow d/s nuts.
only way is to start taking yours out, check, refit, then go get the right one.
