Important! : Saxo 03 Key problem

   Hi, my brother lost the keys to his 03 reg Saxo 1.1 He obtained a replacement ignition and door locks from a scrapyard, however the car won't start, it turns over but that's all. He also got the halo from around the ignition, however I feel this is just a pickup and the intelligence for the key immobiliser is elsewhere. Does anyone know either which part is required to be able to recognise the key, or alternatively is there an easy way to reprogram the system to recognise the new key?
   
   Any help appreciated.

   Hi, Your immobiliser will not recognise the chip inside the new ignition key and therefore will not let you start the car, you'll also see a key symbol on the dashboard.
   
   The only way to resolve this is to get it to Citroen who can program your ECU/Immobiliser control unit to recognise your new key. See: http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=228926
