misfires when hot?

   hi guys. passed my test yesterday, first time out in the car
   i noticed that when it gets warm its starts to misfire very badly.
   just wondering if any of you guys have had this same problem?

   Hi Jack,
   
   Congratulations on passing your test.
   
   Misfires can be difficult to narrow down so I can really on give you general tips. Misfires are caused by:
   
   1) Electrical issues
   2) Fuel/Air supply issues
   3) Compression issues
   
   Given that things expand with heat check around the inlet manifold for leaks when the engine is running.
   
   Do you get a flashing engine warning light when the misfire happens?

   Mine did this only when hot then would die & not start until cold solution was a 2nd hand coil pack.

   If it only misfires when warm then it would more than likely be coil pack as said above, classic pug/citroen problem
