Hi guys I'm new to this but im desperate. I bought a 1999 saxo vtr a week ago and over the last few days the immobilser light has been flashing and not letting me start the car. Now it constantly flashes and wont start at all. Im gutted. does anyone know what this is or if I can override/disable the immobilser till i can get it looked at. please help.

when i bought my vtr,i had 2 different keys which i kept trying.1 worked and had the right code-the other never. it could be the chip in the key has went.or worse, the gadget that picks up the signal beside the lock.wont be cheap to fix,.expect to lose a fair bundle

please do not give any override tips on open forums. The transponder works, or not. If it doesn't, contact citroen.

no such thing if you don't have a key code card.

besides, you have 14 days to bring the car back to the person who sold it to you.

you may want to investigate a little further. There is stuff you might not be aware of.

I was going to suggest pretty much that but i thought it sounded kinda daft. I fitted a new radio a while back and all was fine. Then one day when i tried to start the engine, the lights on the dash board stayed lit and i couldn't get it going. So i put my hand up the passenger footwell and pulled on the wires, jiggered them about and that got it going. Glad you fixed the problem.
