doorcard catches when opening door

got this problem with the passenger door, when people open it the edge of the doorcard catches at the bottom and pulls it off the door! think it must be catching on the rubber strip at the edge of the carpet

the rubber strip is pushed down fully, i've trimmed a bit of plastic off the bottom of the doorcard, the door is not height adjustable unfortunately. was hoping is could raise it up a couple of mm. i've also loosened the screw slightly in the bottom of the inner handle aswell, in case that was pulling the doorcard down a bit

hopefully the above has sorted it but has anyone got any other ideas?

    cheers, chris

Mine use to do this, just went round and bashed the edges as not all the clips were gripping, if this fails a few black self tappers along the bottom of the door card should do the trick

I had this problem. I simple got more (newer) door clips from a scrapie. You can get them from Citroen aswell. Basically the door clips on mine we brittle and didn't hold the door card flush with the door panel.
Replace the clips and the card will sit tighter.

    Give that a shot

I think there are non Saxo clips that do the job beter but I cant remember which ones they are.

2003 Nissan Primera are the ones your thinking of of mate (i think?) they have a felt backing which helps to reduce the rattles

bashed the edges loads of times mate lol they just keep coming off again! thought about self tappers lol but would have to be a mint job. don't want it to look crap. maybe only need one screw though, think it's just one small bit that keeps catching

thanks mate yeah heard about them, i'm alright for rattles though

think i might see can i fit a couple of washers behind the lower door hinge bolt. enough to raise the door slightly but not affect it closing. worth a shot i guess!

I found the best way is a little self tapping screw to hold the bottom corner on - get one in black and you'll hardly notice it.
