i plan on getting a s/s manifold on my vtr then an induction kit. after that what could i do to make it abit more nippy other then cams, conversions etc
enhancing performance?
-
#1
-
#2supersprint backbox.
the money youd spend trying to get a vtr to vts power you could just get a vts conversion done...
extra 20bhp straight away..
higher rev limiter also.. -
#3ino what you mean. but am not looking 120 brake anything over 100+ is okay. its a mk1 vtr and i just want it to be abit sharper, would a lighten flywheel be any good?
-
#4rallye inlet, fast road cam, good exhaust system, port and polish and induction and you will be on your way to 120
-
#5how much would a rallye inlet set me back? are the worth it?
-
#6it is not worth doing any work too a vtr engine the only reason i am working on my engine is because it has been cammed and had other bits and bobs best way to get the power is get a vts engine strip it down and rebuild it to a nice spec and then get a good map and your be looking at some really nice power
-
#7as i said b4 am not looking mad power, just a few more mods to make it abit sharper and abit more responsive.
can any1 tell me abit more on a rallye inlet? -
#8good breathing mods, induction kit and good exhaust aloing with a de cat and a good service should see almost 100 bhp i would imagine
-
#10mk1 is 90bhp and the mk2 is something like 98bhp
-
#11at the end of the day mate there are speed limits!!
the vtr is nippy enough as it is.
but if its what you want.
supersprint mani
supersprint backbox
de cat
ported and polished
fly wheel
good air filter
service.
i reckon youll see up to 110bhp.
roughly.. -
#12as above and a VTS/XSI/RALLYE gearbox
