    you only have one camshaft

it's basically a head off job to fit one.

So in other words I could fuck up the timing?

you could fuck up the timing no matter if you are changing one cam or two just becasue the head has to come of on a vtr means there is more chance of you not having the correct tools to put the head back on properly like a torque wrench

if you even suspect you can naff up the timing on something as simple as a saxo engine you really shouldn't even be thinking of trying. get it wrong and it'll be tears before bedtime

its not that had tbh mate, but it does take alot of time... alot of removing bits and bobs to even get to the head first. give it ago... whats the worst than can happen? just remember to turn it over by hand before you start it up. (just incase the timing is off)

takes half an our to get the head off haha, and the worst thing that could happen is he could totally ruin a set of valves and heads while shattering a couple of pistons? not a bad days work lol

half an hour to take the head off? dont no what saxo's you've taken the heads off before, but removing the wheel, inlet mani, jacking the engine up, loosing the engine mount, and undoing the cam case will take about half an hour. then you have to set the timing before even thinking of taking the belt of.

as long as you turn it all over by hand and all is good, you shouldnt shatter any pistons. and as long as you set the timing before taking the belt off... you should be fine.
