   i have done the wire trick to make sure i have power steering but now that has stopped working what else could it be???

   pump probably on its way out give it a smack with a hammer might loosen up the insides worked for me but now i get a whining noise.

   i have just fixed mine after having the exact same problem, it turned out on mine that one of the pins in the main electrical plug for the pump was all shitted up... quick clean, little bit of grease and job done.... worth a look

   it may be on its way out so may need to buy a new pump, get a reconditioned one for around £120 or can always get them to recondition yours. thats what they did to mine, only charged £20

   before spendin money check the fuse if the rear window demister dont work thats usualy a good indacation

   theyre linked on the fuse systems there are more things linked to it but cant remember off the top of my head

   they all link through the same place iirc, controls your heaters, rear demister and power steering.

   Hi,
   
   Dazman's suggestion is a good one. Give the pump a hit with a hammer this loosens brushes and the dirt from the brushes and often gives the pump a second lease of life.
