Turbo water feed

I'm trying to decide the best way to route the water feed to my GT25R turbo on my Saxo VTR.

I have two possibilities so far..

    1) Put a T-Piece on the hose that runs from thermostat to the heater which is a 16mm pipe. Id have a 10mm pipe running from the T to the water inlet of the turbo. I'd then have a water hose on the oulet of the turbo charger which I'd run back to the 16mm heater pipe and T it in further along this pipe.

Worrys with this approach is will the water in this T'd off circuit flow properly or will the water ignore the 10mm turbo circuit and take the easier straight on route down the original 16mm heater pipe? The VTS seems to have a similar setup on the top hose for the standard oil cooler where it has two pipes joining on, is this connection just as simple as two holes of the main water hose or is there any routing going on there?

    2) Put a straight reducer on the 16mm heater pipe taking it down to 10mm, then running 10mm pipe to and from the turbo and then having another 10->16mm reducer connecting it back on to the 16mm heater pipe.

..Worrys with this approach is in stepping the 16mm pipe down to 10mm is that it causes some back preasure in the cooling system where it can't flow as much water through the heater pipe?

Any advice / better suggestions appreciated.

use the first approach, but with a restrictor (8mm hole or so) between the 2 T pieces.

it will work if it is blanked off, or left open, but from testing the 8mm restrictor approach seems to work best.
