They all work in the same way, add to petrol, the fuel containing the additive cleans the fuel system as fuel is pulled through the system. I wouldn't recommend using more dosage than it says on the bottle. Stick with well known cleaners like redex etc

V-Power has sorted my car out. When I bought it last month it was spluttering on and off. Not done it in the last 3 weeks except when I went back to using 'normal' unleaded for 5 days or so.

ive just finished off a bottle of redex injector cleaner and noticed quite a difference in my mpg. Before i put the cleaner in my VTR was doing around 35-36 mpg that was with mainly town driving, but after two fill ups and putting half a bottle in each fill up, on this tank ive noticed ive got about 60 miles more with average for that tank at around 40-41 mpg and thats with pretty much the same driving to work etc... so very pleased

In other words 2.5ml of Redex for every 1 litre of petrol (which is a drop in the ocean by the way).

I think my saxo holds about 45 litres so 112.5ml is the amount you should use :-)

In all seriousness, ive never had an overdose Redex probelm, infact using it neat on thottle boddies and parts full of oil and crap cleans them a treat :-)

... im having a busy day.
A full 500ml bottle of Redex to £40 of V-Power is what I tend to use.

The cleaners don't do much if anything. If the injectors are actually at a point that there so bad they require cleaning all such additives will not help you. You will have to whip them out and get them properly cleaned.
