Vtr cat location???

   year 2000 VTR... help please on locating the cat...
   wanna de cat the car... is the cat in the manifold or under the car?????

   from 2001 onwards 98bhp models - cat in manifold
   
   
   before 2000 90bhp models - cat under car

   i have seen a few 2000 v plates with mk1 engines though, just bloody typical citroen

   I think if they was registerd after september 2000 then they have cat in manifold 98bhp version as mines x reg 2000 and cats in manifold registered in december 2000

    If the airbox is square with a panel filter, it's a 98BHP model with the cat in the manifold. If the airbox is rounded with a conical filter its a 90BHP with the cat underneath.

    mine is a 2000 x reg and its under the car, but my mates got a 51 plate which also has the cat under the car and he has had it from new like that and its the 98bhp version, so im condused as to what is what!
