taking the silencer out?

   What car is it on? There is a slight performance benefit but it is marginal. Biggest difference is in noise.

   its the noise im after mate, its a 1.4 furio, not sure if its the standard exhaust as it has a VTR body kit on, and the exhaust looks rather big.
   
   could taking it out do any damage to the car?

   get a drill n put a few holes in the back box noise and boost lol

   Your best bet to do it' properly would be to remove the silencer cut it open remove all the lagging and weld it back up
   
   the tester would probably 'advise' purely because thats all he could do unless it was seriously stupidly loud or leaking.

   it wouldn't fail on no silencer.
   
   but it would fail if you drilled holes in it.
