1.2 corsa v 1.4 furio

  1. #1
after changing car, will i be able to feel a difference in the speed or not really?
  2. #2
Stats of Corsa? 1.2 8 or 16 valve?
    Stats of Furio?

Neither is a fast car IMHO!
  3. #3
if the corsa is a 16v id say there about as slow as each other
  4. #4
They have about the same bhp... but saxo has larger cc engine and less weight so I would say furio

there not going to be a massive difference between the two tbh
  5. #5
    obviously the Saxo......
  6. #6
depends a standard un touched 1.4 saxo would loose but if it had saxperience stickers were onto a winner
  7. #7
    saxo is 850kg
    corsa is 1200kg+
  8. #8
Corsa 1.2 16v is 64hp and weighs over a tonne
    corsa 1.2 8v is 45hp
saxo furio is 75hp and weighs under 900kg
  9. #9
    definately the furio
  10. #10
take it too parkers depends on what kind of condition the car is in tbh, badly serviced high milage furio against a low milage corsa would be a different story imo

    You can't argue with maths
  12. #12
?? are you all mad. 1.4 furios/ westcoasts are able to pull from 1.6 astras so the corsa relly is left behind.
  13. #13
The furio would be probably just noticably quicker. But neither are fast.
  14. #14
i had a westcoast and its much quicker there nippy enough and are level with standard vtrs up to 2nd/ 3rd gear

lmfao!!! who told you a corsa weighs 1200kg! thats the weight of a vectra!

would a 1.1 stand any chance with a corsa 1.2 16 or 8 valve cause mine dont even fell like it was quicker than my old cbr 125
  18. #18
i would say the 1.4 but my mate has 1.2 corsa and they are nippy for a 1.2
  19. #19
    My 1.1 has a K&N sticker
    stand back.

    the maths are there

my furio has a fsh, a few mods, and it trances the trusty corsa, but the furio still isnt quick

    Corsa 1.2 16v are just over 1000kg.
    Furio's are 840kg.
Should be a win for the saxo depending on age and condition

its been tested! haha. i've got 2 mates, 1.2 16v corsa b and furio, both have subs and were 4s up, the sax had tools in the boot tho i think.... but yeh anyway the corsa raped the furio off the mark but once in 3rd gear it was a reversal and the sax cruised passed pretty easily.

obviously could be down to driver error/ability + the sax had just over 100k on the clock whereas the corsa had more like 45k.

    so 1.4 sax all day?

There really is no contest, Power to weight shows this, obviously other factors will impact the result.

    I've had a go with a Corsa 1.2 16v (on a private race track)

Furio with a 1.1 gearbox was infront the whole way.
