saxo furio ecu problems

   Hey guys am newly registered on here, recently bought a saxo furio 02 reg, great little car but have got ecu problems with it. It is in limp mode (I think) as it only revs up to 3000rpm. The ecu light is on and I had it plugged in an ecu scanner and it came up saying there were no fault codes.
   The ecu is dented looks like someone has jumped on it and I'm not sure if its the original as looks like the previous owner had tried to get it going and played with a few things. Any ideas what could be causing this and how to fix it would be much appreciated.

   had a friend with similar issues turned to be the flywheel sensor not located properly try looking at that its down the edge of gearbox plastic thing with wires into it 1 10mm bolt holging it in
