For those who have had their saxo's resprayed. How much did it cost you?
How much did it cost you?

#2i'm a painter and prices range quite alot, all depends on things like is it going same colour or different colour, everything removed or not, any repairs need doing, any mods being done, where you take it, prices also change from north to south in country
-
#3Right but am basing it on others experience of the costs.
-
#4you will get prices from about £400-£2000 by asking on a public forum
-
#5I did have a vw polo (look2) and i got a quote on that for 500 quid which was relatively chip I think. Am only pricing it up for when I get a new saxo.
-
#6heres a few pointers for when you go to get it done, get yellow pages out and go and visit a few bodyshops, have a chat with them and get quotes off them, ask to see work they have in so you can see the quality of their work, try play them off against each other abit with their quotes
-
#7£450 at a place near me
-
#9resprays at respectable places near me seem to be about £600
-
#11Seems reasonable. Not everyone charges at high prices.

#13Ok boss, relax.
-
#15So say i fetched it to you, how much would you be looking at for a full respray in yellow.
-
#17Yes mate, I'll be looking in 8 months. Am not doing anything to this P reg saxo ive got. Money is fine mate. But would be nice if I could have someone who knows what he is doing.
-
#18£250 cheapest i got, full respray. wouldn't get it done tho....
-
#19i looked into this about 4 months ago and was shocked to find i was quoted £1200... but that seems to be the price over a few garages i tried
-
#20around the £500 mark mate (blowover spray)
-
#21for a proper job i would expect £1200+
-
#23freeeeeeeeeeeeee

and just had my engine bay welded and painted too
-
#26Hi nicole! lol it is indeed a good job, you luck little shit lol
i had a dream about you last night... well you more just made an appearance in my dream than having a whole dream about you lol nothing dirty like, you just rolled up in your paxo and said hi .... was a bit weird...
-
#27my dads been in the trade since he was like 16, spoke to him about mine and reckons 900 would be the minimum anyone should ever pay and thatd be for a real mediocre crappy job tbh. £1200 would set you a good mark to look at (:
-
#28Depends who you know and how cheap you can get it for?
-
#29just get it powder coated
lol -
#31I don't think any of us are in the actual Trade of Motor Vehicle Re-Painting but anyway he's asking for advice, and if he knows a friend of a friend who does that sort of thing then i suggest having a word and negotiate a reasonable price.
-
#32i had my passenger door, front wing and rear quarter (basically the whole passenger side) for £250. He's a friend of mine that i've helped out a few times so he owed me a favour! Think he charges around £1K + for a full respray.
Problem is you have to strip the engine out, interior etc so it's just a bare shell. It's a lot of work. -
#34There is no such trade as i made that up as i typed ......... Liar!
-
#36You quoted me on the Motor Vehicle Re-Painting trade which doesn't exist.
Anyway pointless argument. I stop here. -
#40wow what an idiot! Of course it's a trade lad, how else would you describe it?
It's a sector of the motor trade specialising in paint and body repair.

-
