Can i feel the difference between a 4-2-1 and a 4-1?

Been offered a 4-1 piper fanimold for my vts quite cheap but i was allways planning on a 4-2-1.

Just wondering if ide really feel a difference? AFAIK the 4-1 is just a increase in the higher range and a 4-2-1 is more mid to low revs?

Where did you get them stickers on the rear bumper mate, and in my experiance i prefer 4-2-1 manifolds..but thats just me

    Marginal I'd say.

Having a piper stainless 4-1 I have to say the fit is superb and seems to be more 'chunky' than a raceland

Hmmm... might just go for the piper in the end then.

Just dont want to be getting this fitted and then allways wanting a 4-2-1

And its not a sticker its just a edited image...

Tbh you'll enjoy either, but saying that, I don't think the standard 16v manifold is that bad.

Piper will last long and resale should be okay - just depends on price.

Craig - clean your engine bay as it looks filthy in the procomp pics

Got to agree with this, the standard manifolds are pretty good.
On my GTI with the pugsport exhaust had 130bhp and 120lb/ft torque.

There was plenty of low down punch coupled with high end as well. Probably why I never bothered with a Manifold.

I have the Janspeed 4-2-1 and with the milltek compared to standard exhaust, it just feels like a train, pulls well, but after realising that my manifold studs were incorectly tightened and a fu**ed decat gasket i may have lost power, but thats all getting done when the car is back in my hands as its in at the doctor getting a check up on why its running rough.

have to agree with previous comments, the standard item is more then adaquate. after id fitted a Janspeed 4-2-1 i felt the car was worse off for it
