Driverside Rear brake problem

  1. #1
Hi my saxo has a weird problem of having the left rear brake about 50% of the power than right one. its fine on handbrake (no variance at all) and bad using footbrake, but all components looks like they are allmost new on left side and the cylinder should work ok. Is there a brake balance valve that could be the culprit? or what should i try?

auto adjuster inside the drum could be slipping back if teeth are worn on the ratchet or cylinder could be siezed

yes its fine on handbrake and we adjusted it properly the drum just barely goes on. i need to check that cylinder again. if there is no brake balance valve then it must be the cylinder. maybe i'll just get an spare one.

You need a new slave cylinder in the drum. Sounds like it's seizing up.
