Hey, i have a Saxo East Coast 1.1 1999 and the lights behind the speedo and clock etc are not working i checked the fuses they all seem to be fine.... only one is missing... i have no idea what fuse should be in there so i just left it empty, I'm pretty sure its not a fuse problem but the lights don't light up at all (the ones for the clock etc) and I'm not sure if i should try to replace them or if I'm doing something wrong like am i missing a switch or something, i have looked and can't find one. thanks for any help you can give P.S. sorry about the bad grammar... and possibly spelling

#2if you missing a fuse you need it replaced asap and a missin fuse is most likely whats wrong

#4Might just be an idea but I thought the same when I bought mine, turned out it was the liitle wheel just underneath the steering column (the one that makes the dials brighter/duller) it was on the dullest setting.
Mind you I'm pretty sure even on the dullest setting you can see a bit of light rather than none at all... -
#5agree with above check this first dash light fuse I believe is connected to side lights aswellQuote:Might just be an idea but I thought the same when I bought mine, turned out it was the liitle wheel just underneath the steering column (the one that makes the dials brighter/duller) it was on the dullest setting.

you may have spare terminals in fuse box that are not in use all cars have them they cater for the extras some models dont have -
#6Update: tried the fuses and nothing, there is no wheel thing to change the brightness on the dash but there is a wheel for the headlights. so i'm guessing its bad bulbs or something?... how can i fix that do you think?

#7Hi,
It may be the bulbs but I thought there was an adjuster for the dash lights. You have switched on the headlights right?

#8just checked fuse 12 and its fine i think its a problem not to do with the fuses but thanks for the diagram of what the fuses do that will come in useful in the future i imagine
, anyone else got any ideas what it might be?
