Exhaust?

Well first of all I bought an 03 VTR with a Scorpion exhaust system was wondering if there is anyway I could get the silencers out of the exhaust to make it louder without actually buying a new system? obviously id take it to a garage but wanting to know if its possible first? thanks.

Yes, possible... But why, would loose power id imagine, and sound wank.

would it sound bad if I removed only a few as its soo quiet now its a standard car?

Its not as simple as removing just a few from how they are built up. Ans different again on aftermarket systems. Does it have a middle box? It could be worth putting a stainless mani, or a straight through pipe in the middle...

Didnt think id say it, but i like the look of the twin exit you got there, its subtle and effective imo! Dont go ruining it by having a loud zorst that does nothing for performance or appearance.

Thanks mate yeah I don't really like the twin exhaust but saw this and I really like it, i think it has a box at the end but only on one of the exhaust and the other is just the pipe not to sure as ive not long had the car ill try and get a pic tomorrow or something. Thanks

The mani and decat will change the sound, and note of the exhaust, so that may be something to look into rather than ripping internals out.

Yeah was going to get a manifold done just looking around for prices not to sure about decat because of the MOT, however a friend has his done and he goes to a garage which let him off with his so might give it a go.

Friendly mot tester ftw, but it never takes long just to wap them over for the mot!
