I changed my drivers side driveshaft last week i have only recently put a new gearbox on the car about a month ago so when i changed my drivehaft i never bothered with a new seal, however i noticed the seal was leaking ..yesterday i replaced the oil seal in the gearbox and put the driveshaft back in place... left it standing on my drive for around 6-7 hours jacked the car back up and the seal was not leaking . however i drive my car last night and this morning and just to be sure i jacked the car up and there has been some gearbox oil leakage through the seal .. This is enoying because i dont know if anythjing can actully be done .. any ideas ?? please

#2Replacing the seal is the only sure fire way. They are very dlicate and easily damaged when refitting the driveshaft unfortunately. At least the seals are cheap though mate.

#3Replace again. As stevo said. They go very easy.

#5Hi Craig,
Try some non-setting sealant around the new seal.
