Fan/Idle probem.

   I have had a search but not found a great deal on the problem I have! when I'm static in traffic and the car is getting warm the fan will kick in, but 7 times out of 10 the car will missfire and or cut out. does anybody know why this happens? The car runs faultlessly otherwise, The fan kicks in as it should (at right temp) I have changed CTS, ICV and plugs anybody ever had this problem?

   Sounds very strange. Does your car have a thermal switch on the radiator that controls the fans or is it controlled by the ECU?
   
   Does the mis-fire cause the engine warning light to flash?

   not sure on the thermal switch mate, but no lights show up on dash, only when it cuts out! just the same as if the car was stalled sorta thing
