Bucket Seats / Seatbelt pre-tensioners?

  1. #1
Purchasing a set of buckets this weekend, was just wondering what the solution is to prevent the airbag light coming on over the seatbelt pre-tensioners? any ideas how to overcome this...

    thanks.

I've got the original setabelts still working with my buckets (Cobra Daytonas) along side having the harnesses. This is so if i have people in the back those in the front still have seatbelts.

get some rear seatbelt buckles and bolt them under the rear of the front seat mount and you can still use the seat belt,

Think your misunderstood, or ive posted it wrong, but under the original seats there is two orange wires, also known as the pre-tensioners, when disconnected the airbag light comes on, basically wanted to know a way to prevent this, i.e is there a way of wiring them to the buckets?.

i understood, you want the airbag light to come on the dash when removing pre-tensioners
and i gave you a solution, if you are using an aftermarket steering wheel with no airbag then all the more reason to do away with the airbag ecu + wiring like i said, its located under the carpet under the dash btw

the connectors which go from the airbag ecu to the pretensioners under the seat,

there is a certain size resistor you can fit and it fool the air bag ecu into thinking the pretensioners are still there
