Just been looking on Kam and saw this, sound pretty awsome tbh, i know they use strokers in evos and alike,

so just wondering have anyone on here using this kit or similar, would like to see the bhp/torque graphs and would like to read into it more before justifying spending nearly 3k!

    would find it quite intresting

    Cheers Mark

For the cost of buying and fitting the stroker kit to a furio you could fit a low boost vts turbo engine.

    Total waste of money

id normally agree and say total waste of money but if your building a high boost turbo engine then your gonna have to buy forged pistons and this kit included forged pistons and rods, so if your going high boost its not a complete waste of money also got the extra torque from the extra 200cc

power hunting in a saxo = waste of money

yes its a lot of money but its one of many routes to gain 200+bhp normally aspirated and a lot of torque even with mild cams. The turbo version would aid turbo spool up giving a much more versatile engine than a small capacity turbo engine.
Nothing wrong with getting some decent power from a saxo if you use it for a bit more than running to the shops...

if people get enjoyment from it then surely its not a waste of money?

id love a 1800cc stroked tu on lairy cams and boddies.. 200hp+ potential no problem. and perfectly usable.

Dean has one. He'd disagree entirely. As would I, given that he made 350bhp at 11psi.

Its certainly a more driveable option than a peaky camshaft; which would require a close ratio gearset to get the best from.
Its one of the options I was going to do for my trackcar before I decided to destroke a XU 16v engine to 1.6 to make something that loves to rev and rev

well not only just down to the stroker kit, theres certainly a lot of work gone into the head and some VERY wild camshafts, but its looking promising for some immense power figures. completely useless however... but power figures are always nice

stroker kit certainly gives much more physical torque from the engine. the bottom keyway is made longer to allow for a longer woodruff key, which is handy for use when supercharging. the blocks require some material removing to allow room for the rods.
