how easy to smooth?

    im thinking of ideas how to make the front of my sax look nicer. anyway i really want to put a off centered number plate on and smooth the recess where the number plate originally is. how would i go about doing this and has anyone got any pics of it done?

    yh i thought that after finally finding a few threads about it, but what does everyone think it will look like? good? bad?

    I'm a coach builder. You will need to weld a plate in place, grind it all down, catty it, sand it, primer full boot, spray full boot. Not an easy job to do yourself with some halfords spray paint mate... Takes time to get these things looking right and nice.

    the front recess has an extended bit over the top that wraps round the plate, so this has to be cut off rather than just filling in the space or it looks silly

    not if its a flat arch

    you will need to plastic weld a plate to fill most of the gap.
    filler, primer, paint etc
