easier to lower torsion why axle off?

   just got an axle as my other one is fooked and its not getting fiitted till nmext week so why the axle is sat there is it easier to lower torsion bar why its off?

   no mate, its harder imo. can't pull/push the torsion bars out when not on car,
   
   i'd fit it on the car and then lower it,
