Quote on saxo lowering

    Hi, just bought my springs for my saxo and phoned my local garage for a quote they said 150, just want to know if this is a decent quote i think it is personaly but thort i would ask around just incase, cheers guys.

    lad in cheshire near me does it for £60 for the rear or front and back for £100, you bring down your springs n he will do it all

    yeah man i thort so aswell now that i have been on my holiday the sax will be getting more and more tlc so hopefully will be seeing it alot more on here.

    a garage up the road from were i work will do mine for 100 quid just got to get them the springs for them 2 do it nd will do the front and rear depending on how much work the torsion bars are to get out lol

    Get yourself a set price. Its bollocks to be honest that places should suddenly whip up the price claiming that parts are "seized". If you have no idea then theres nothing stopping them from telling you that anyway and charging full whack.

    Id also question very thoroughly which method they use to lower the rear. Even if you're not confident enough to try it yourself then at least read and familiarise yourself with the guides so you know the procedure and know that the place will be doing it correctly.

    There are alot of places out there that use the incorrect method which for them is quicker when time means money, however it has the potential to cause damage to various parts of/within your beam, and is never accurate

    ive been told £200 in my area now lol... wish i was closer to willsy tbh i'd go for his services just on rep alone!
