   oh yes, coz the cat is in the manifold on the vtrs so if u put in a 4 branch manafold ur gettin rid of the cat, wount pass its MOT like but will give good sound and good bit more power.

   depends which vtr it is as to where the cat is, but yes standard manifold is shite so a 4-1 from gmc is your best bet imo as it will improve mid range and top end (vtr has decent low range torque anyway).

   get in touch with GMC and get one of their 4-1 manifolds...failing that get a supersprint one (depending on the age of your car) as they're one of the best in my experience
   
   Supersprint are a bit more price but I suppose you get what you pay for
