1.1 desires an engine change (well I do anyway)

   hey guys i have a 1.1 desire and want to lower it and put a 2 litre engine in it. what engines will fit and how? wat work needs to be done? how much will it cost? il be doing as much work as i can myself. need as much detail as u can be arsed to put in. thanx

   Any engine will fit but it's gonna cost an arm and a leg, say you fit a c20xe your looking at an easy £3-4k just to get it working, if not more, custom drive shafts, custom management, custom mounts, custom exhaust. Then you need to cut the shell up into pieces, and weld bits in. Big brakes. Uprated suspension all round. So take my original figure and double it. Really not worth it, just drop an R lump in for ease, or an S lump for more of a challenge

   I know the mi16 from a 405 would fit a 205/106 with some persuasion so might go into a saxo but would need a fair bit of work. try speaking to some one like kam racing/ecosse and see what they say or more realistically see what they'll charge
