headlights problem...

   tried getting my headlights apart so i could spray the chrome part on the inside.
   i heated up with hairdryer (im not putting it in the oven) it did weaken it but couldn't get it apart... anyone got any good tips? i also tried prizing it apart with a screw driver but just fucked it up a bit

   Ive always been told to put them in the oven mate! hairdryer obviously isnt getting it hot enough.

   maybe, but i've heard people use a hairdryer,
   maybe ill try a hot knife...

   i used a hair dryer for like 5 mins on them and then used a screwdriver but it did fuck up the plastic abit just kept heating it up as i was pulling it apart lol

   the oven is really the only way youll get them apart easily, if youre worried about them melting set oven to 100 let it warm up them check the headlights every few minutes mine came apart after 10-12 minutes

   yeah got two towels and kept taking them out every 2 minutes or so and trying to prise them apart eventually the glue just came apart really easily

    I put mine in the oven nd they melted 1st time just keep checkin them and they will be fine tho cause it worked 2nd time around
    Well worth the effort tho

    8 minutes in a fan oven on 110. then get the knife and prize it between the lens and plastic.
    
    Be careful the lights get pretty damn hot
