mk2 vts misfire

   drivin along when all of a sudden developed a misfire through all gears, turned engine off then on again drove ok for about 3mins then misfiring again any idea's could it be the coil pack i had new plugs fitted in march.

   Hi,
   
   Yes it could be the coilpack, fuel injectors, TDC sensor, wiring... I guess your engine warning light flashes when the misfire happens?
   
   If so, you can get the fault codes read to help diagnose the problem.

   cheers just checked it on a reader and the code comes up as coilpack fault it just seems strange running fine till i went round a roundabout.

   OK good. There is no rhyme or reason to intermittent faults.
