piccaso 1.6 8v engine same as saxo vtr ?

    are these engines the same bhp ?? engines and blocks the same ... currently done a vtr conversion on my 1.1 and the engine i put in the rings were gone .... so bought another engine from a piccaso its a mpi 8 have fitted this engine with vtr ecu ... it runs good .. sounds good but it has no pull for sum reason .. does any body no ?. please help cheers
