is these engines the same ?

   is a zara picasso 1.6 8v engine same as a saxo vtr engine .. looks identical .. both have same stamp on front ov head ZO7 a fink it is ... please help cause i fitted picasso lx engine to my vtr ... car is very sluggish it has no pull please help

   pretty sure they are the same, iirc they have 90bhp. could be wrong though, wait for someone else to confirm it.

   could be so many things wrong ecu maybe different, using the picasso box, was the engine working fine before you got it, could be HG could be Fuel loads of things need more info mate

   got 1.1 box on it .... seems to lag its not as quick as a vtr it got no pull ..... head gasket is fine .... a think its someit to do with fuelin ... runnin vtr injectors and ecu please help me

   yeah engine was fine it a newish engine ... it idles fine pulls away fine just there is no pull ... please help am confused

   did you test the engine before you took it out of the picasso? check cam lobes aswell mate?
   try diconnecting the battary for 20mins might clear the ecu but not sure if it work with the saxo

   check the timing. if the timing is 1 tooth out it will not pull the same.
   also have u had it hooked up to a code reader as it will do this if the map sensor or o2 sensor is playing up.
   could also be the coil pack.
   
   
   first things id do is check the timing.
   and then get it hooked up to a code reader.

    got a original metal gasket on so dont ink head has been off the car dont fink timin is out .... it like a fuel problem on low revs ..... cam lobes ??? what are these ? ettin it plugged into my dads snap on reader .... it has a bit pull above 5000 rpm help please desperate to get round this ...

    cheers for tht m8 .... had ecu cleared with my dads snap on reader ... just waitin for engine management light to come bk on ... then i car read the errors on ecu ... ecu of vtr but had faults on before so its been cleared just waitin for light to come bk on many thanks ...
