....thanks....any help would be greatly appreciated....sorry about posting in wrong section

#2forgot to mention have cleaned out idol control valve and changed air filter and spark plugs.

#395% Certain it would be the coilpack.

In the pictures in that thread its the thing above the rocker cover, the long black box.
It basically fires up the engine, when mine went dodgy I was firing on 2 cylinders iirc. It should fire on 4. -
#6ok thanks read it there.....my shaking isnt as bad as yours was though....its mild enough and doesnt happen always....but the idol thing is a constant problem....more so when engine is cold...still think its it?Quote:http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=286528

#7Think alot of engines react differently
So yeah I think its still the problem
I only know the basics about Saxo's and my knowledge won't be as good as the mechanics on this forum, so another member may correct me if im wrong -
#8go get some diagnostics
-
#9more than likly to be a coil pack or the leads either one.
-
#10Dom's right. Will surely be the coil pack. You will feel a lot better once you replace it, it's very easy to change too so not a costly job.
-
#11think so yeh? hope it is then...is it common problem on saxos?....would u think buying a second hand one would be a good idea?...or would i need to get a brand new one?
-
#12Get a brand new one.
You know it will work. -
#14I don't think a coilpack fault shows up on Diagnostics. Mine didn't which I found very weird. Hope you get it sorted mate
-
#15Is there no easy (cheap/cheat) way to read your fault codes?
On civics you can do summet and it flashes the CEL to give you the fault code, I just can't remember what it is.
