    Hey guys

Is 94k on the clock too late in an engines life to start modding bits to it?

Am I likely to be needing heavy refurb work on the engine soon or are VTS engines good for a long time?

Mines on 94k, the engine it self is running good. there's a few people on here with engines above 100k mate if its looked after with regular services etc it should be fine.

Well I'm lucky that the previous owners have managed to keep a full service history, so thats a huge weight off my mind

Yeah thats good, mine also had full service history. What i do is a oil change, oil filter, engine coolant and fuel filter. every 3k-5k miles (or at least once a year). And dont forget to clean your spark plugs or replace.

Mate it will be fine..............94k aint that bad now considering the saxo's are geting quite old now, aslong as you service it when it needs doing i cant see no harm in modding it tbh.........plus if worse comes to worse you can always pick up a new lump for around £200

But VTS engines are good engines so i would imagen it be ok.......its just the gearboxes you got to worry about.

Go for it even it was to go bang these engines so are cheap these days..

Seeing as its been maintained you should have issues.
