Saxo Brakes

    Some of you may know i have a saxo 1.1i. Anyway more to the point, my saxos brakes arent great. Its passed its MOT, but i just want to improve them. So what would i need to do/ buy to improve them as they feel very spongy etc. (Btw its 10 years old...)

    As you probably can tell i dont know loads about cars

    New pads and discs and bleed them. Should get them nice and firm again.
    There's probably more water than brake fluid in there lol

    Mine were same and i got new front discs and pads for £92. There okay now.

    Cheers mate, where from? i was looking at these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CITROEN-SAXO-1...item19bbcec515 but i thought 1.1i were 3 studs not 4 as these say they are.

    If they are spongy then the new pads won;t change that much. Unless they are seriously bad but then you wouldn't stop.
    Bleeding them would be on the top of your list mate

    Basically lad, i took em to my dads mates garage and he sorted it. They were really bad breaking from speeds of like 60 or 70, because of how weak they were and the car would kinda shake slightly but now there tidy.

    I always thought the brakes on my old 1.1 were terrible all the time. Just no stopping power>Never tried another 1.1 to see the difference though.Would've liked to,at the time just for curiosity's sake
