    hello all..
i had a vtr until around a month ago some dick polish driver smashed head on into it writing it off, within the next week or soo i should be getting the money for my car, and with poss borrowing some off family im looking at a vts with cams and bodies, as really want to go down track route.. only problem i have is that it will be my daily drive too, i will be getting compo which i will be looking at using to get a dailt drive so am not always using the vts, but with compo that could take a while..
so was just wandering in the meantime is is ok to use the vts?
obv there gna be expensive fuel, but bar that is it ok?
may sound stupid question, just dont wana buy someones car whos put time and effort into building it, then i go and ruin it
    cheers

Many people on here, myself included, have a daily drive VTS with throttle bodies, the fuel consumption will be approximately the same providing it is mapped well and you are no more heavy with the right foot then usual [which is the hardest bit as they sound great.]

If you want a fuel economical daily then ditch the idea of the camshafts and run just the throttlebodies with nice long trumpets. You will not gain as much top end (maybe +15 bhp) but you will still gain lots in the mid range where it really matters.
With a good map you will be more fuel efficient at part throttle than standard. Problem is the sound. You tend to go WOT and then mpg is pants.
