How dark, you could always paint them on the inside...will look great on the outside, but 100% ftmfw

is it due to the heating elements?

not looking for to dark want a lighter tint so it blends in with my blue paint work abit rarther than be to dark and just stand out because of this so dont think painting would work

it can be done, but is alot easier to just get it done somewhere properly? personaly, i think its too much hassle to do it yourself mate

i think because of the curve on the window from what i hear, and prob a lil to do with elements as they break pretty easy

yeah obviously but i thought id ask to what the general opinion was on doing it yourself after all if you can do it easily enough yourself why not but if its hard to do properly yourself then ill have a look around for somewhere to get it done

you better off getting some one to do it for you it alot harder then it looks to get all the bubbles etc out i only paid £100 to get all three back windows done

i did mine when i had a vtr. it is quite difficult on the side windows as mentioned before the curviture of the window, you get bubbnles out on one side but it creates another on the other side.... also if you do attempt it make sure they are 100% dry as when you put the 3 fastners in it will tear the tint

Yea very hard to complete and get a good finish. If its any help i no a place in stoke on trent that will do back three for 80 and extra 30 for front two. Life time guarentee. You also get a free valet with it.

I did my own on a Renault 5 once but they were flat and we took the back ones right out but even then it wasn't perfect. There are some idiots guides on YouTube but let's be honest we all laugh at shabby jobs. On something that looks so good if done right but so bad if not I think it's worth having done by the experts. I just had the old Toyota done by Read Racing / Torfaen Tinting in Cwmbran, south Wales. The woman there done a great job, very imformative, especially regarding the laws etc. Quick service too. And the best part- a perfectionist. Cost me £160 for all five. Lightest possible on front, next step on back three. They do all sorts- had a quote for other work too.
    Give them a try~ 01633 877228.

Same here. £100 for the back 3 and the finish is brilliant. Took the gut around 2 hours and still looks great now. If u do it urself and bodge it it just looks f**king awful.

tried doing mine myself, back 2 were easy enough but rear window was a joke! for the money it costs get it done professionally!
