Mk2 oil filter conversion

    Hi im just doing my oil filter conversion at the moment and just wanted to check ive got the holes right as my engine looks different from the one in the guide. The green one is where i think the oil pressure sensor should go ? and the red one is where i think i should tap and die the hole. Are they correct ?

    Correct.

    Are you fitting the shorter mk1 oil pressure sensor too or keeping the long mk2 one?

    Ideally the shorter Mk1 sensor should be fitted as with some manifolds the mk2 sensor keeps the wire too close to it and can end up melting it

    Yeah i am mate. But i assume i have to cut of the mk2 connector and just use a female spade connector as the mk1 pressure sensor is slighly different. Thanks for your help

    Yep thats right, female spade connector is all thats required. If you need a bit more length to the wire too there is plenty if you work back through the loom a bit to seperate the wire from others earlier on.
