much difference between the Racland and the Janspeed 4-2-1 Manifolds?

Just wondering if anyone would know if the Janspeed would be a better manifold to go for,its around £40 more expensive than the raceland, and do you notice gains when fitting a performance manifold?

    Thanks.

raceland is stainless steel. janspeed is mild steel sprayed black as far as i know. some say the raceland is of lesser quality but hundreds of people on here have them. being stainless the raceland looks better imo

janspeed the mild steel ones dont look as good as the raceland(shiny)
after a while the janspeed will become rusty looking.

janspeed would probably be a tad better performance wise.
but they all do the same job to be honest

oh performance wise they should both rev better and add many 3-4bhp. shouldnt notice too much diff between the to though.

Do they give more low down power? As VTS is pretty dead until 4,000 rpm

4-2-1's are supposed to give better low down power and the 4-1's are supposed to give better power in the "power band" so higher up the rev range, but on standard cars you wont notice a difference i wouldn't have thought but ye they free the revs up and the gasses can exit quicker and more freely

works bettwe if you de-cat aswell so its totally free flowing. rev's will build up quicker

yea i agree the vts is flat at low rev's and come alive around 4500 to 5000rpm. So a upgraded manifold would be better. id save a few extra pounds and for the piper, i have been told they r the bee's knee's
