    Hi there

i have a little problem with my cooling system, first off is the cars is overheating within less than 5 minutes of driving.

the top right radiater hose is getting very hot and is going to the engine but its not coming back the water because the bottom one is stone cold. the water pump is working no puddles ect, there is no thermostat, and no leaking under the car, also there is not water mixing with oil and no water coming out the engine. where is it going?

    cheers mike

    Update, the facts are:

    Car overheats very quickly
    No gunk in oil
    No oil in water
    No white smoke from exhaust
    No visible leaks

    Top hose gets very hot
    Thermostat works fine
Bottom hose cold, seem empty though full of air
Top up rad and it get pressurised quickly and bubbles out

Do I have a bad air lock? How do I get rid of it, do I need to use a header tank?

easy enough to do i dint use a header tank and is fine. theres 3 bleed points, top right of radiator, alan key one above thermostat, and valve cap on pipe top left side of engine if its a vtr.
