#2600 - 800 for light sanding.... More abrasive paper is higher number.... if your priming, Clean area and Just remember to do light coats, at intervals rather than one big coat then paint... I just Prepped Primed and Painted my Gf's bumper ( was removing a bumper scratch) and i just took my time, Used a bit of common sense.... Be patient and the job looks mint.
Oh yeah dont forget your masking tape and newspaper
and before you use any Primer ( if you are) Just make sure you mask well, Double, Triple and quadruple checkig that everywhere you DONT want primer, Is covered.

#4use a sanding block or you will get fingerflatting
if you don't know what your doing
The more abrasive flatting paper has a lower number -
#5and use the wet 'n' dry wet, water with a splash of washing up liquid in it, stops paper clogging and makes it so much easier to get a good finish
