will a citroen xsara engine 1.4 fit into a citroen saxo

   bought a citroen saxo 1.4 engine the other day and i was wondering will it fit into my open scandal which had a 954cc engine before i removed it.
   p.s the alternator is at the back of the engine is there anyway to move it to the front of the engine?

   Yeah it'll fit but you'll need the right loom for the engine bay and to switch all the brackets etc over for the alternator etc. It sits on the back because Xsara's have a belt-driven PAS pump on the front and usually an A/C compressor.
   
   Not worth it though. A VTR conversion is best if insurance funds won't allow for the VTS.
